I forgot to bring my sketchbook with me this weekend, but thankfully I had this drawing from last July already scanned and saved on my computer. It just hadn’t been cleaned up and colourized yet. I’m a huge fan of Liana Finck’s cartoons, and recently I came across a comment where she self-described her comic style as “expressionist.” I couldn’t agree more. I’ve always been fascinated by conceptual illustrations and admired those who do it well. For me, this weekend’s release might be the closest I get to that style when I try (and there’s no comparison).
