Opposite the mosquito stands the homeowner and their dog staring back in frustration. The caption reads, “Just take our blood and be done with it. We’re in the middle of dinner.”

This Comic Has Some History

The month of July must be the height of mosquito season! I just realized before hitting “publish” on this comic that almost the same punchline appeared in a July 2012 entry in a “daily doodle” journal kept at the time, although the setup and visuals for the joke were different then. (See below from my archives).
