Who are the Push Button Heads?

My nerdy “Push Button Head” characters live in a near-futuristic society that may or may not be on your planet (you decide!). You'll catch them talking or acting at cross-purposes, and being a bit too curious for their own good. They take things way too literally and they can be obtuse sometimes. The situations in which they find themselves are often otherwordly. But they are just trying to figure out their place in the cosmos. Aren’t we all? And I like to think there’s humour in that struggle.

What You Get by Subscribing

I release a new comic every Sunday for all readers. Paid subscribers receive occasional bonus material (e.g. process photos and sketches). But the main reason for signing up is to show your support and to never miss out on new content.

The Origins of My Comic

Back in the summer of 2021, I began toying with the idea of creating a series of unusual characters with different oddly-formed heads reminiscent of the physical buttons found on retro electronics. (Don’t ask me why). This was my very first sketch. Little did I know this would evolve into a regular web comic series.

You can explore some of my early experimentation with this concept over on my portfolio site everettwilson.ca. Alongside my weekly comic, I continue to experiment with my Push Button Heads characters through various digital & traditional media, including in my Gatherings series of watercolours and vector illustrations.
